CONCEPT MOM2B Trade Show fills the gap in one of the hottest and fastest growing industries today: Maternity. According to the New York Times (6/8/2006), maternity wear saw a 28% increase in sales between 2000-2005, whereas the overall woman’s clothing market showed a mere 2% increase during the same period of time. This trade-only show is the first one of its kind, giving a direct platform for designers and manufacturers to showcase their wares to potential buyers from across the country and around the globe. MOM2B provides a fresh and welcome trade show experience. From the personal attention of the show's producers to the warm feel of the space, it's a vast and welcome departure from your typical trade show. MOM2B Trade show has set the stage for this one-stop show; providing the retail buyer for the future mom with what she deserves during her nine months of pregnancy. From stylish clothing for a blossoming belly, beauty products for radiant skin and ample new figure, pregnancy snacks and drinks for energy and necessary nutrients, to baby shower gifts for the little angel, it's all here at the one show for all nine months. Inside out, head to toe, belly to baby's arrival; much like pregnancy itself, MOM2B is all about growth and possibilities for maternity manufacturers and industry buyers alike. “With maternity clothes virtually mirroring non-maternity clothes, from T’s to Gowns, and new gadgets for the expecting mom hitting the market on a daily basis, we thought it only natural to bring these products and their suppliers together in one accessible and necessarily condensed show,” says Laura Anglin, one of the show partners. According to Helena Paulin of the Glo Showroom, "it's been a great draw" referring to the buyers in attendance from the West Coast, Midwest, Canada, Japan, Trinidad and Tobago and Germany. She further echoed the show producers belief that the time is now for MOM2B Trade show, "the maternity industry is changing as expectant mothers look for stylish maternity apparel...to keep up with it, you have to have a show for it." And, according to Maternal America's Natalien Ngo, "MOM2B [gave me] a chance to meet new buyers, as well as catch up with existing accounts...this show is one of a kind."
