These five women have been connected in some way for decades; some have been best friends since junior high, others are connected by husbands prior to their marriages; still another was a college roommate. They all come to the table with very different talents, but with one goal: to bring the maternity industry together!
Eighteen months ago, Amy acquired Bella Mama, a luxury body care line made specifically for pregnancy. She quickly realized that the maternity industry was being ignored by the trade show industry- thus MOM2B was born. Previously, Amy worked for 14 years in the hospitality industry as a top sales executive, owner and operator of hotels and restaurants in Chicago, Denver and the Rocky Mountain Region. Amy lives in Denver with her husband David and two step children Brennah and Gavin. The family loves traveling, all outdoor activities and competing in races and triathlons.
Laura heads up the creative team for MOM2B Trade Show. She brings with her over 12 years of experience in art direction and graphic design for companies such as Sony, American Express and Procter & Gamble. Laura lives in Marin County, CA with her husband Robert and two children Vaughn and Ava. Laura enjoys jewelry making, ceramics and hiking with her family.
Kristen has a myriad of experience in retail, sales, and recruiting that she lends to the MOM2B team. As a headhunter in the growing telecommunications industry in the 90’s, she recruited top level engineers to design cellular and internet technology. Moving on to a more passionate career, in 1998, Kristen opened Decade, an award winning retail store filled with vintage furniture, contemporary clothing and gifts, and the critically acclaimed restaurant ‘deluxe’, with her husband Dylan. They have a son, Jackson, and love to go to garage sales, travel and discover new restaurants.
Not just the legal component, Cynthia considers herself the renaissance woman on the MOM2B team. Experience includes a BA in Business as well as having practiced law in Chicago for over 8 years, litigating in both the private and public sectors. By night, Cynthia performed in the thriving Chicago theater scene with her company, the Factory Theater, among others. She's performed at the New York International Fringe Festival and, since moving to Los Angeles, is a company member of the Syzygy Theatre Group and currently has a recurring role on "ER". The proud Godmother of 3 beautiful girls, she's passionate about her volunteer work with Camp del Corazon, a camp for children with congenital heart disease, and also loves to travel, cook, play tennis, and explore.
An entrepreneur at heart, Sheryl has spent the past 10 years as the founder and owner of four successful businesses; Anybuddy Productions, Little Art, Fairy School, and now Two Plums. All companies provide products that uplift spirits and deepen friendships of adults and children alike. Two Plums is the first to bring to the market a Birth Blessing Kit. A celebration of blessings for the expecting mother as she gives birth and transitions into motherhood, an inspirational alternative to the usual baby shower games. Wanting to bring many of her products specifically to the maternity market and seeing the absence of a maternity tradeshow, she shares the passion of the 'birth' of the MOM2B Trade Show. Sheryl lives in Los Angeles with her husband Grant and two children.
